Glamping

noun, portmanteau: glamorous + camping

Carefree camping combining the comforts of home with the luxuries of travel.

Diggers was born in July 1978 in an old tin shed!

Our purpose was to rescue the wonderful old varieties of vegetables, such as Scarlet Runner Beans, that mainstream companies were dropping from their lists.

This subversive garden community - the lovechild of Clive and Penny Blazey - is about preservation of gardens, anti-GM and pro-organic, heirloom vegetables and a shared home-grown culture.

The Garden of St Erth purchased by Clive and Penny in 1996 is our cool-climate garden nestled beside the Wombat State Forest, near Daylesford and Ballarat in regional Victoria, just 60 minutes outside Melbourne.

In 2018 our 40th year ,we're adding another bloom to our bouquet with Garden Beds Glamping.

A chance to get out of the city, and wake up in a world class garden! We have six stunning bell tents on site, tucked between our garden and the Wombat State Forest, guests will have a luxury stay in a carpeted, outfitted tent for two plus access to the modern shared amenities cottage.

Perfect for a mid-week getaway, an intimate honeymoon or a weekend in the wilderness - come and stay in our Garden Beds.

Garden Beds Glamping, and the Garden of St Erth operate on Aboriginal land and we recognise the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
